With a few exceptions commissions have been posted out W/E 07/12. I apologise for the delay on the dead line, but it's very much a case of small wheels grinding slowly.

Commission Guide Prices.

Smokebox plates .........Single................£4

Ovals, ie. L&Y, Sothern, GC etc.....£6 - £10

GWR Names.......................................£8 - £12

GWR Cab sides.................................£6

SR Names ..........................................£8 - £15

LMS Names .......................................£8 - £15

LNER Names .....................................£8 - £15

Headboards.......................................£5 - £10

Shed codes........................................£3.50 for the first and £1 each thereafter.

Requests for new commissions are now been taken. An e-mail, or letter, will get your commission in to the projects folder. I would ask for all relevant information to be included, if you want your standard A4 name plate painted lavender with a sky blue surround and didn't tell me when you receive it painted black with a brass surround please don't blame me. Depending how long it takes to fill an artwork, when I am in a position to submit an artwork I will ask for payment and your commission goes on the board, delivery will follow in 2 to 3 weeks.
Fictitious names

In the light of recent price increases I shall be reviewing the pricing of non standard plates as they will need to be considered a one off with no resale value. The delivery lead time will be depend on demand and the price will reflect the cost of preparing artwork, tool cost and etch production in full.

Ball park figures:

To fill a tool: not less that six months.
Cost of an A4 style plate:  With no embelishments: £20
Cost  of a GWR curved plate:  With no embelishments: £25
Works plates, builders plates and such like  due to their inherent small size and detail are usually at the bleeding edge of etching. I am happy to attempt these on the understanding that there is no guarantee the finished item will be legible.
